Abstinence Only Gets (another) Kick in the Ass!

In Iowa, the state senate passed a bill that requires sex-ed classes to be statistically accurate! What a leap! I mean really, wasn't teaching fictitious statistics about STIs, pregnancy, and contraceptives good enough?

Honestly, that is kind of a leap. Iowa is the first state to do this. If only we could get every state to make a similar law.

The new law doesn't require them to teach something other than abstinence only, but they are required to teach the facts of abstinence only. Meaning, they will be required to teach them that sex doesn't cause depression, and that you will most likely not get pregnant and/or contract gonorronnasiphilitis or herpahivahepatitis the first time you have sex.

Are they moving sex more into the health and wellness realm than the religious realm? What a novel idea! (The sarcasm is thick, but it really is a breakthrough).
